Plan to be early to class in order to sign-in, look over the WOD, and warm-up prior to starting. A good rule of thumb is to be at the box 10 minutes prior to go time.
RSVP for classes and check-in when you arrive- Keeping our class sizes small is important to the atmosphere at Redox CrossFit. RSVP’ing to classes ensures we don’t exceed our class caps and helps us keep track of class popularity. This in turn helps us provide adequate coaching and helps us decide when we need to add additional classes. If you’re going to miss a class that you’ve already RSVP’d to please cancel your reservation as soon as possible so that someone on the waitlist can have your spot. If you cancel within two hours of the scheduled start time, it will be considered a “late cancel” and it counts as a regular attendance.
Treat Equipment Like It Was Your Baby – Dropping weight should be done as a last resort for safety, not to show off or to make your life easier. If you’re in control of the weight (and you should be), then you shouldn’t have to drop it very often. We use empty barbells often for drill and form work. Please gently place empty barbells on the ground with care.
Check your ego at the door- Someone, somewhere is warming-up with your PR. No one cares how much you can lift, we only care how well you can lift it. Our coaches are here to ensure you are able to be active now and long into the future.
Introduce Yourself- Please introduce yourself to all newcomers (or anyone you don’t recognize). Remember when you were new? A friendly introduction goes a long way.
Clean Up After Yourself- If you sweat, bleed, or puke, it’s your responsibility to clean it up. We have disinfectant wipes available to make this easy. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience at Redox CrossFit and to take ownership, responsibility, and pride in the box.
We can’t fix it if we don’t know- Bring things to our attention that need to be fixed to improve your CrossFit experience.
Play hard- Leave any kind of sour attitude at the door. Have fun, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and cheer on your comrades.
Don’t break down your equipment until everyone is finished- At Redox, no one breaks down their equipment until everyone has finished the workout. This is a common courtesy that you too will one day benefit from as everyone is last in the workout someday. You can cheer on others, grab a foam roller, or just sit and enjoy the down time, but don’t touch your equipment.
Do not cheat- You’re an adult and you should be able to count. If you can’t, get a counter. No one cares what your time was or how many reps you got. We’re all just happy that you’re here and pushing yourself. However, everyone cares if you cheated…even if it was just one rep.
Let the coaches coach- They’re certified, trained, and professional. They have your best interests and long term health in mind. Additionally, all staff will wear their “Coach” T-shirt when working. If you see a coach at the gym who isn’t wearing their “Coach” T-shirt, please respect their personal training time. Have a question? There is always a designated “Coach” available.
Listen to your body- Tell your coach immediately if you’re feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or nauseous. We can help.
Track your progress- Record your WOD and/or lift results into Beyond the Whiteboard at the end of class. How will you ever know you’re getting better if you don’t? We can’t manage what you don’t measure!
Be consistent- Consistent, small efforts create progress.
Children at the Shop- Older children who can be left unattended are welcome to sit in the common area. Younger children can be left in the play area while their parents workout. They are not allowed at any point to come onto the shop floor or training area. We love our athletes and their kids, therefore, this is necessary for the safety of the children and quality of the athletes’ training environment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column border_color=”#dddddd” width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1479730384580{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #dddddd !important;}”][mk_fancy_title tag_name=”h3″ color=”#000000″ size=”24″ font_weight=”bold” margin_bottom=”18″ font_family=”Yanone+Kaffeesatz” font_type=”google” align=”center”]GETTING STARTED IS EASY, FILL IN THIS FORM AND WE’LL GET IN TOUCH[/mk_fancy_title][contact-form-7 id=”165″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
